See What Makes NEXDINE Hospitality Different

At NEXDINE Hospitality, our greatest asset is our people. Our Brand Marketing team recently had the opportunity to put ‘unreasonable hospitality’ into action for the residents at RiverSpring Living. If you’re not familiar with the term, it’s all about going above and beyond the expected service, creating moments that surprise, delight, and make people feel truly cared for. “Unreasonable hospitality” takes passion, grit, and integrity. It’s a concept inspired by the book Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara, where he shares that no matter the industry, going above and beyond to create unforgettable experiences can elevate any business. This mantra aligns perfectly with our belief in putting people first.

From day one, our mission has always been to make good things happen for others. While it may not sound poetic, it reflects the core idea of unreasonable hospitality. But here’s the challenge: How do team members who don’t directly interact with our residents daily—such as those in marketing—create that same level of connection?

That question led us on a journey to find new ways to engage with our residents. In one inspiring moment, we came across a social media post from one of our residents at RiverSpring Living, Mr. Leonard Nones, a legendary photographer known for capturing iconic images of Joe DiMaggio, Hollywood stars, and even U.S. Presidents. His work is timeless and evokes a deep sense of nostalgia. When we saw his love for photography and the joy it brought him, we knew we had to involve him in something special.

Our marketing team, led by content developer and photographer Stacey Trottier, immediately recognized the opportunity to create an unforgettable experience. We reached out to Leonard, and to our delight, he agreed to join us for a photo shoot, not just as a subject but as an artist. Together, we captured stunning images of residents at RiverSpring Living, showcasing them living their best lives. The session was filled with joy, creativity, and connection.

We documented this moment in a video, capturing our photography pop-up experience for residents. But the magic didn’t stop there! Stacey followed up with beautifully wrapped prints from the event, giving each resident a keepsake to share with their families just in time for the holidays. It was a small gesture with a big impact—one that created a lasting emotional connection. We can’t wait to share the video documenting this experience with you.

This experience wasn’t part of our core services, but it embodied the essence of unreasonable hospitality—doing something extraordinary just because it brings happiness to others. We’re grateful to Leonard for sharing his talents and to Will Guidara for inspiring us to think beyond traditional hospitality.

As we continue this journey, we’re reminded that building connections, creating moments, and making people feel seen and appreciated are what truly make a difference. And we’ll keep striving to bring that spirit to everything we do.
